Here you can view some of my 3D modeling, texturing, lighting and compositing work that I have produced over my three years at University. You can also find drawings and digital art that I have created in my own free time.

Toy Soldiers - Lighting & Compositing

Created as part as a second year lighting and compositing project for University. I took photos at different exposures of a area in Cardiff with a Mirror Ball, and also photographed two additional images of with a box in one (for camera matching) and one with nothing in. I then created using HDRI images in Photoshop using the exposited shots taken. I then camera matched in 3ds Max using the picture I took with the box in, and exported the scene into Maya. I then found some toy soldier models online and added them into to the scene. I then lit the scene and and rendered it. Software Used: Maya, 3d Max, Photoshop & Mental Ray.




Hand - Modeling, Texturing & Lighting

A second year modeling and texturing project. I took reference of my own hand and modeled the base hand in Maya, then texturing it in Mudbox as well as adding detail to the mesh though Mudbox modeling tools. Finally, exporting a low poly version with high poly textures into Maya and setting up lighting and rendering. Software Used: Maya, Mudbox, Roadkill, Photoshop & Mental Ray

Wolf - Modeling & Texturing

Created as part as a first year modeling, texturing and rigging project. I box modeled a wolf in Maya using reference images, anatomy and my own drawings. I UV unwrapped the model using Roadkill and created texture maps in Photoshop. Finally, I then rigged the model using the Setup Machine and animated it in Maya.

Still Life - Modeling, Texturing & Lighting

Created as part as a first year modeling, texturing and lighting project. I created a series of fruit models in Maya, unwrapped them in Roadkill and textured them using Photoshop with self captured reference of fruit. I then created a kitchen scene with various other items in for the fruit to be placed in. I then lit the scene and rendered out still shots in Mental Ray. Software Used: Maya, Roadkill, Setup Machine, Photoshop & Mental Ray
